It's one of those blazing hot summer days, you're wilting in the oppressive heat. You are drenched in sweat and your feet are clammy, maybe a little bit swollen.

The air is still, not even the comfort of a breeze to take the edge off the holiday heatwave. In desperation you slide the sandals off your feet so that you can walk about barefoot. You're in such a rush you don't even bother to undo the buckles.

Ah, the coolness of the shaded floor, such relief. You glance back, towards the yellow glare of the bright sunlight, at your favourite raspberry summer sandals. They lie abandoned in the sizzling sun. What a pretty picture they make!
