Lockdown has eased and things are beginning to go back to normal, or rather, a new normal.
Unlike other countries face mask wearing hasn’t really been enforced in the UK during the COVID pandemic. But from today (24th July) we will have to wear masks when we go shopping.
So a very good time to mention a new painting I’ve just finished, it’s titled “Social Distance Standing with Mask”.
The background is an abstract pattern of terracottas, peaches and yellows, slightly built up with modelling paste. The figure, standing alone perhaps in a well spaced out queue and wearing a pale blue face mask, has been drawn in ink.
I plan to create a little series of these.
