Vietnamese Paddy Fields
A casein painting showing 3 vietnamese workers harvesting rice in a paddy field. Around the fields are tall trees and green vegetation.
Paddy fields are mainly found in Asia and are used for growing semi-aquatic plants such as rice. These flooded fields need lots of water for irrigation and also lots of human labour. Vietnam is one of the top producers of rice. In the painting the workers are wearing paddy hats for protection against the elements.
