Social Distance Standing with Mask Painting
A lone hooded figure stands with hands in pocket, a light blue mask shielding their face. They stand alone, or at least no-one else is near them, against an abstract background. Perhaps they are social distancing? This is the new normal, keep 2 metres apart, don't touch anything. The Covid Era.

July 2020. Lockdown had eased and things were beginning to go back to normal, or rather, a new normal.
Unlike other countries face mask wearing hadn't really been enforced in the UK during the COVID pandemic. But from 24th July we would have to wear masks when going shopping.
The background of this painting is an abstract pattern of terracottas, peaches and yellows, slightly built up with modelling paste. The figure, standing alone perhaps in a well spaced out queue and wearing a pale blue face mask, has been drawn in ink.
